On the Isle of Wight, some beaches are dog-friendly. Throughout the summer, many of the Isle of Wight’s most popular beaches forbid dogs (May to September). On the other hand, several beaches allow dogs all year or only in certain areas during the summer. Try Brook Chine West Wight, a lovely beach near Chilton Chine with dinosaur bones to find and free parking for National Trust members.

In general, the Isle of Wight does things a little differently than other locations. The waves aren’t always as big as they are in Cornwall, as surfers will tell you.
