From the spit at the edge of Bembridge harbour, the main beach in Bembridge stretches down the coast. The beach is made up of stones, pebbles, and shells, but there is sand below the high water line, as well as a massive sandbank that stretches into the Solent at low tide.
Footpaths at the end of Beachfield Road and Forelands Field Road, as well as the car park at the end of Lane End Road, lead to the beach. Near low tide, Bembridge Ledge is exposed at the beach’s edge, which can be slippery but is great for rock pooling.
